Wendy Salinas, MS

-Responsibilities include delivering financial advisory and constant communication with clients to help them build, evaluate, and optimize investment portfolios.
-Educating the community about financial literacy, proposing strategies to achieve client long-and-short term goals regarding investments, insurances, real estate, and retirement plans. 

 

-Responsibilities include constant communication with clinical research monitors, Physicians, PAs, and NP medical professionals to ensure patient enrollment and the success of clinical trials. 
-Directly manage patient/physician relationships and disseminate medical information to ensure that patients are willing to participate in clinical trials. The role requires me to serve as a liaison between pharmaceutical companies, physicians, and their patients to ensure that clinically relevant information is properly conveyed and thus generate a significant patient population so that critical clinical trials may take place.
-Duties involve prescreening potential participants, enrolling qualified candidates, and monitoring the health of each participant throughout the trial via safety calls and in-clinic visits. 
-Collected data is then summarized to identify success and failure rates for the individual drug or biotechnological product. 
-Experience in pharmaceutical testing in the COVID-19 vaccines trials, NASH fatty liver studies, Family practice and in sexually transmitted disease prevention among others.  

-Contacted, prescreened, and recruited potential patients to clinical trials referred by local specialized physicians, HubSpot platform and social media. 
-Helped grow the research territory by conducting community outreach and presented novel clinical trials to affiliated specialized physicians and health care specialist. 

-Aided and guided students with the Biology and Medical Entomology courses throughout the semester at UTRGV. 

-Took the leadership role and was responsible for the weekly collection of ovi-mosquito traps in different cities along the Rio Grande border. 

-Mosquito ovi-traps were taken to the Laboratory weekly where mosquito eggs were hatched and reared at different temperatures. 

-Adult mosquitoes were tested for insecticide resistance.  

-Oversaw the collection of ovi-mosquito traps done weekly in the city of McAllen.
-Project was conducted in a team operating environment for the summer of 2017 to help control vector population.    

-Substitute Teacher for the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo School District Elementary, Middle and High Schools. Students were educated and guided to complete daily assignments. 

-Inspected, assured, and approved motor pieces were done correctly in the production line.  

-Assisted over 700 students at PSJA High School have a smooth transition from high school to universities. 

-Helped with customer service and aided in meeting, or exceeding, the stores daily sales goals. Gained interaction, sales, and customer service skills experience. 

-Answered phone calls, filed papers, and created binders to help keep the office organized.
